Steve Blumenthal

Chair, Board of Directors

Mr. Blumenthal has served as a director and Chair of the Company since 2004. Mr. Blumenthal is a real estate investor with over 30 years of business experience, ranging from identifying, negotiating, financing, purchasing, contracting, renovating, managing and selling real estate property as well as other experience in the financial industry. His career began in 1968 with Bache & Company, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange member firm, where he formed, managed and directed the firm’s national tax-advantaged transaction activities, with an emphasis on real estate transactions. From 1974 to 1980, he was a consultant to a real estate equity management firm that owned and administered approximately 4,000 multi-family residential units throughout the southeastern United States. In 1980, Mr. Blumenthal founded Synchron Corporation to purchase develop, operate and manage residential and commercial properties. As a principal he has been successfully involved in all aspects of real estate ownership, including: construction, sales, management and rental. Mr. Blumenthal earned his B.S. in Business from SUNY Buffalo.

Charles C. Dorego, J.D.

Treasurer, Board of Directors

Mr. Dorego has served as a director of the Company since 2015. Mr. Dorego has over 30 years of diverse, hands-on experience in all aspects of the real estate industry. He is the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Glenwood Management Corp., one of the largest real estate development companies in New York City. He joined Glenwood Management Corp. in September 2001 after 18 years as a real estate lawyer at the law firm of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan. Mr. Dorego is a board member of the Litwin Foundation (the major shareholder of the Company), a member of the Board of Trustees of the Waterkeeper Alliance, a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Governors of the Real Estate Board of New York, a trustee of the Local 32BJ pension and welfare benefit funds and a member of the Board of each of the Downtown Alliance, the business improvement district of lower Manhattan, and the Business Council of the State of New York. He is a 1984 graduate of Brooklyn Law School. Glenwood Management Corp. was subpoenaed as a witness in a federal investigation into New York State politics. As a result, Mr. Dorego has been identified by the government as a witness in a potential prosecution of certain politicians. Neither he nor Glenwood is a target of these investigations and neither has been accused of any wrongdoing.

Robert Ivanhoe, J.D.

Member, Board of Directors

Robert J. Ivanhoe is Chair of the 200+ lawyer Global Real Estate Practice and Co-Chair of the REIT group at Greenberg Traurig, LLP. He concentrates his practice in sophisticated real estate structures, financings, workouts, restructurings, acquisitions and dispositions of all asset classes of real estate. Mr. Ivanhoe is actively involved in real estate industry current affairs and is regularly asked to write and lecture on industry topics. He has been recognized by Chambers and Partners USA, The New York Observer and Real Estate New York as one of the leading real estate attorneys in New York City and throughout the United States. He has represented numerous nationally-recognized owner/developer and institutional lender/investor clients domestically and internationally for more than 30 years. Mr. Ivanhoe is a member of Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Executive Committee, Board of Directors and Operating Committee.

Leonard Litwin

Member, Board of Directors

Mr. Leonard Litwin is the founder, President and Director of the Litwin Foundation, a philanthropic organization that provides grants and financial support to a wide array of charities and medical research organizations throughout the world. Mr. Litwin is a real estate developer in New York City and has been involved in apartment house construction and management for over sixty years through Glenwood Management Corp. and its affiliates. He is the Chairman Emeritus for Life of the Real Estate Board of New York, Vice Chairman of the Rent Stabilization Association of New York and Co-Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York.

Richard Purcell

Member, Board of Directors

Mr. Purcell has served as a director of the Company since 2006 and served as the Chief Operating Officer and Acting CEO of the Company from June 2004 to December 2013. Mr. Purcell has over 30 years experience in biopharmaceutical development and marketing, He is a biopharmaceutical development specialist, with extensive experience in providing consulting services to financial, venture capital, and start-up companies. Since 2001, Mr. Purcell has been President DNA Healthlink, which, together with its affiliated technology partners, offers data solutions through consulting, software, middleware, and hardware implementation to meet the challenges facing companies in the life science sectors, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, clinical research organizations, hospitals and clinical sites. He has served since 2011 as President and CEO of IntelliSanté, a patient-centric, medical informatics company; since October 2014 as Senior Vice President, R&D, of Cortex Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company currently engaged in the discovery and development of drugs for the treatment of respiratory disorders. Mr. Purcell started his career as a molecular biologist, where he developed and patented a second generation TPA with increased half-life. He has also conducted primary research and published manuscripts on the topics of AIDS and immunomodulators. Mr. Purcell graduated with a degree in Biochemical Sciences from Princeton University, and attended Rutgers Graduate School of Management, majoring in marketing and finance.
